We believe that live performance hones the artist’s expressive abilities, allowing them to share profound stories and personal worldviews with their audience.

Lark began and continues its artistic output through choral work, bringing to life the great works from the Western and Armenian canons. However, our activities have expanded throughout the years to include a variety of instrumental, dance, operatic, and orchestral events. We have had the privilege of sharing in the timelessness of great artists, from Mozart to Mansurian, Beethoven and Bach to Komitas and Khatchaturian.

Lark’s performance ventures carry a two-fold mission: First, to continually develop our personal performing practice. This ensures our evolution as musicians and artists, and motivates us to keep in step with present developments – we strive to embrace the world standard and speak the universal musical language with sophistication and modernity. Second, to introduce Armenian treasures into the wider musical arena. We delight in introducing Armenian talents in performance and composition, as well as great Armenian music that has survived centuries and defines the Armenian character, into the American musical milieu.

Above all, our guiding principles stays the same: to delve deeply into musical thought, explore its expressive content, and share its transformative potential.
