Formed for children grades K-5, Taguhi Summer Day Camp expands Lark Conservatory’s philosophy of arts education to our youngest generation – inspiring them to find free expression in their artistic capabilities.
Students are offered classes that explore a full range of artistic mediums including:
Alongside the arts, our curriculum offers exposure to Armenian culture, and a session of games designed to develop critical thinking, empathy, and strategy. Each day also begins with light exercises in the nearby park to encourage a positive connection to daily physical activity.
We believe the program offers students a summer of fun and excitement alongside other children, while giving them the benefit of a structured approach to honing different skill sets. We strive to keep classes small – with a low student-to-teacher ratio – ensuring each student a great deal of personal attention and support.
Meals are covered by the weekly tuition and include a breakfast offering in the morning and lunch served daily at noon.
Students are welcome to bring their own lunch, however, it is recommended that they use insulated lunch boxes with an ice pack, as we are unable to refrigerate lunch boxes.
Alongside breakfast and lunch, snacks and beverages are offered free of charge throughout the day.
Please discuss any food allergies or restrictions with our staff when enrolling your child.
In order to ensure the safety of our campers, we require parents sign-in and sign-out their children on arrival and departure to the Lark Campus.
Student drop-off is at 8:00am each morning, when parents can leave their children with the designated supervisor at the front gate. Earlier drop off arrangements can be made upon request.
Taguhi Summer Day Camp ends promptly at 4:00 PM, at which point students are signed out on arrival of the parent for pick up. Those who need to pick up their children after 4:00 PM are asked to make special arrangements with the administration.
Throughout the day, when not in class, students are supervised by camp counselors who oversee the lunch recess hour as well as student’s movements from session to session. Counselors are drawn from our volunteers and are typically college students or recent graduates of Lark Conservatory. CPR and First Aid Certified counselors are also on duty every day.
